What Will Be Your Turnback Moment?

“Everybody has a turn back moment, it’s the moment you can either go forward or give everything up. There’s one guarantee if you give up it will never happen. Faith is everything, God is always on time, he’s never too late.” This is a quotation from Steve Harvey.

Everyone knows Steve Harvey to be a very funny guy, but when he said these words, I think he was dead serious. He spoke about how he made it at the Apollo when Jamie Fox and D L Hughley, big comedy stars, got booed. This freaked Harvey out because if those popular stars could get booed, then he didn’t stand a chance getting out of there alive.

Steve Harvey went on to recount how he planned and delivered his act and soon had the audience eating out of his hands. From having little or no money, he received $750, way more than he expected.

We must never put limits on God. When we doubt him, or think He’ll never answer our prayers, or we are a failure, we are putting limits on Him. We are not exercising our faith. The Bible tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

So, what is your turnback moment going to be? When will you stop doubting you can lose weight, control your diabetes, you can finish college and get the job you always wanted? Put your faith in God today. Not in yourself, or anyone else, but in God “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3: 20.

If He did it for Steve Harvey, for me, and countless others, He will do it for you.
